14 Ways to Make $50 a Day Online 2025
Can You Earn $50 a Day Online? Let’s Find Out!
There are countless posts on the internet discussing ways to make $50 a day online. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at this claim and explore the reality behind it.
First, you should know that there are multiple ways to make money online, which can be categorized into two main types (based on my classification):
Methods That Require Continuous Work
These methods involve daily work without interruption to maintain your income. Examples include online jobs, remote work (depending on the type), survey websites, microtask platforms, and similar opportunities.
Drawbacks: If you stop working—whether by choice or due to unforeseen circumstances—your earnings for that day will likely drop to zero. In the long run, this isn’t a sustainable way to generate income online.
Methods That Require Initial Effort (and Sometimes Investment)
These methods demand significant effort (and sometimes money) upfront. At first, you shouldn’t expect immediate earnings. However, after weeks or months, you may start generating income that grows progressively as you refine your work.
In the later stages (after a few months), you could reach a point where you earn a stable monthly income. You can continue putting in effort to increase your earnings, and working smartly can accelerate your progress.
The advantage of these methods is that even if you take days or weeks off, you will still earn money, sometimes as much as when you were actively working. In other words, you can make money while sleeping, on vacation, or taking a break. This is known as passive income, where you continue to earn from work you’ve done in the past.
We will explore both types of income, but we won’t be discussing ways to make money from watching ads, answering surveys, or using mobile apps.
It’s important to note that these methods could help you reach or even surpass the $50-a-day goal, though results may vary.
How to Earn $50 Per Day Online
Of course, I can’t guarantee you’ll make exactly $50 per day; you might earn less or significantly more. Your results will depend on your work style, skills, and strategic approach. (Who knows? You might even outperform me and those who have been doing this for years!)
Here are the methods we know:
1. Earning from Videos
This method involves creating or recording a video and then sharing it on a platform where you can monetize it through the platform’s built-in revenue options or other monetization strategies. Alternatively, you can create and sell videos directly.
For example, YouTube is one of the most well-known platforms where you can leverage your skills and knowledge in a particular field to create content and earn money. The process is simple: you create a channel, upload videos, and decide on the type of content you want to produce.
The most common way to earn on YouTube is through Google AdSense (since both YouTube and AdSense are owned by Google). Ads are displayed on your videos, and you earn money based on views and ad clicks. Other monetization options include sponsorships and brand deals.
There are also other platforms similar to YouTube that allow you to earn money from videos.
Another example is selling short video clips on stock footage platforms like Shutterstock.
Additionally, you can create educational videos (not necessarily academic subjects) and publish them on online course platforms like Udemy, where you earn from course enrollments.
There are many other ways to make money from video production, such as selling videos as a service (which we will discuss later). Your earnings will depend on your chosen method, and you can definitely reach or exceed the $50-a-day goal.

2. Capturing and Selling Photos
As you may know, the internet allows you to turn your hobbies, talents, or acquired skills into profitable ventures, and photography is no exception.
If you love capturing beautiful photos with your smartphone or a professional camera, you can monetize them online.
How does it work? All you need to do is take high-quality photos and upload them to stock photo websites. Every time someone downloads one of your images, you earn money as the photographer.
A statement from one of these platforms, Freepik, reads: “Contributors’ resources get over 100M downloads every day, making Freepik the best website for selling your photos, vector art & PSD files.”
This means millions of downloads occur daily, presenting a great opportunity for photographers and designers to earn money.
Some of the most popular platforms for selling stock photos include:
- Freepik
- Shutterstock
- Adobe Stock
- iStockPhoto
- …
You can upload your images to multiple platforms to increase your earning potential. However, it’s essential to understand each platform’s terms (e.g., obtaining model releases for images featuring people).
Earnings vary per download, but many photographers make hundreds of dollars per month selling stock photos. If you scale up your efforts, you could reach the $50-a-day goal.
This method falls under “passive income,” meaning you can continue earning from photos you uploaded in the past indefinitely.
3. E-commerce
In the real world, businesses are among the most successful ventures, and in the online space, e-commerce is one of the most profitable industries.
E-commerce is relatively well-known: it involves obtaining products and selling them via online marketplaces or personal websites. Customers can be targeted through social media ads and other marketing strategies.
You can also sell products without owning them upfront; this will be discussed in the Dropshipping, Affiliate Marketing, and Print-on-Demand sections.
According to Shopify, the importance and profitability of e-commerce are expected to grow significantly in the coming years.
If you enjoy this field and master it, you could easily surpass $50 per day.
4. Online Courses
We briefly mentioned this in the video monetization section. This method involves leveraging your knowledge or skills in a particular subject to create and sell educational content.
Typically, courses are hosted on platforms where students pay a one-time or recurring fee to access your lessons. You earn money from these enrollments, with the platform taking a small commission.
For instance, on Udemy, some courses attract tens of thousands of students. Udemy once reported that its top 10 instructors collectively earned $17 million in revenue.
This proves that online courses are in high demand and can be an excellent income source. However, success in this field requires passion, effort, and strategic marketing.
With dedication, you could surpass $50 per day, equivalent to over $1,500 per month.
Among the things you can create as videos: design, programming, marketing, business, cooking, drawing or any valuable skill you can teach!
You can also offer your courses (videos) for free on YouTube and monetize them through the platform. Alternatively, you can publish them as written articles on a blog and earn money from it as well (which we will discuss in the next blogging section).
5. Blogging
Blogging is one of the most popular fields in the world of making money online and, in my opinion, a key contributor to enriching content on the internet.
In short, you create your own blog (a website; right now you are on a blog called “incomeprof”) and publish articles on a specific topic (for example, you are currently reading an article titled “How to Make $50 a Day Online”).
Once you’ve published a certain number of articles and attracted a good number of daily visitors, you can join an advertising program like Google AdSense (the most well-known). After getting approved, you can place ad codes on your site.
Visitors, whether through search engines or direct access, will browse your blog and see ads. You earn revenue when they view or click on these ads. The more visitors you attract, the higher your earnings. Of course, the niche you choose to write about will also impact your income, along with several other factors.
But can you really make $50 a day? Maybe yes, maybe no; it all depends on how you approach it.
We have explored this in detail in the article “How to Make $100 Per Day from Google AdSense Ads,” where we provide examples of blogs and websites earning over $100 per day.

6. Selling Services
Selling services is simple: if you’re skilled in something or have learned a specific skill, you can offer it as a service and get paid for it.
For example, if you’re talented in logo design, you can join a freelancing platform, create your profile, and offer logo design services. When someone hires you to create a logo, they pay you, and you deliver the design.
Some platforms where you can sell services include Fiverr, Freelancer, and Upwork.
Examples of services you can offer include various types of design, video editing, writing and translation, programming, and more.
Since the pricing of services varies by platform and demand, you might need to complete multiple small projects to reach $50 per day or even earn more from a single high-paying service.
7. Selling Designs
If you love creating designs or are skilled in graphic design, you can turn your passion into a source of income.
There are multiple ways to do this, depending on the type of designs you create and your interests. For example:
- You can enter the print-on-demand industry (which we’ll discuss later).
- You can offer custom design services to clients (as mentioned in the previous section).
- Or, you can focus on selling digital designs through specialized marketplaces.
In this case, “selling a design” means uploading your creations (vectors, icons, photoshop PSD files, fonts, ..) to design marketplaces where you earn money each time someone downloads your work. This falls under passive income streams.
To start, register on platforms like:
- Freepik
- Adobe Stock
- VectorStock
- Vecteezy
- Shutterstock
- iStockPhoto
- 123RF
- Creative Fabrica
- …
You can list the same design on multiple sites to maximize exposure. Each platform has different requirements regarding file formats, commission rates, and visitor traffic.
By identifying trending design styles and consistently uploading new designs across multiple platforms (ideally three or four), you can surpass the $50 per day mark.
8. Affiliate Marketing
You may have heard of affiliate marketing before it’s one of the best ways to earn $50 a day online.
In simple terms, you join an affiliate program for a website, platform, or company. They provide you with unique affiliate links, which you then promote. If someone clicks your link and completes an action (such as making a purchase), you earn a commission.
Examples 1: Suppose Website A sells clothing and has an affiliate program. If a customer purchases a product through your link, you earn a percentage of the sale.
Examples 2: If Website B offers digital services (such as Fiverr or Udemy), you earn a commission whenever someone purchases a service or buys a course through your link.
Examples 3: If Website C provides web hosting services, you can earn commissions when someone signs up for a hosting plan via your affiliate link.
Essentially, you act as a middleman, bringing in customers and earning money for each successful referral.
There are countless affiliate programs across different industries, including:
- E-commerce sites like Amazon, Etsy, and eBay.
- Print-on-demand platforms like Redbubble and TeePublic.
- Web hosting services like Hostinger and HostGator.
Affiliate marketing offers unlimited potential, making it an excellent way to exceed the $50 daily goal.
We may have gone on for too long, so we’ll now provide a brief overview of the remaining ways to earn $50 below.
9. Marketing
In this field, you promote something to generate profit. Marketing can be done through websites, social media, search engine pages, and other channels either for free or through paid advertising campaigns.
In short, your job is to get something in front of people, whether to make a profit or increase revenue.
Affiliate marketing is a part of this field, but you can also promote your own products or services. For any of the previously mentioned methods of making $50 a day, marketing can help boost your earnings. Additionally, you can market your work from the remaining fields we’ll discuss later.
You can also offer marketing as a service on the freelancing platforms mentioned earlier.
10. Print on Demand
In this field, you sign up and create an account (sometimes a store) on print on demand platforms. You can register on multiple sites and upload the same designs to maximize reach.
Once registered, you upload your designs to these platforms. During the upload process, you’ll find various products like clothing, accessories, stickers, and art prints. You place your design on the products you choose, adjust its placement, and select colors.
You then add a title, description, and relevant tags; choose a category; and publish your design.
Your design will appear on the selected products, and if a customer finds it appealing and makes a purchase, the platform’s company will print the design on the chosen item, ship it to the customer, and handle all logistics. You earn a profit margin (also called an artist or designer margin) from each sale.
Your role is simply to come up with an idea, turn it into a design, and publish it; the platform handles the rest. However, you must ensure your design does not violate the copyright or trademark rights of individuals or companies.
The amount you earn depends on the type of products sold. For example, art prints generally have a higher profit margin than T-shirts, and T-shirts have a higher margin than stickers (unless you manually adjust your margins).
Personally, I have worked in this field and have earned hundreds of dollars so far. However, at the time of writing this article, I haven’t yet reached $50 per day consistently.
That said, I know it’s possible, and I also understand the reasons why I haven’t reached that milestone yet.
11. Dropshipping
Dropshipping operates in a straightforward manner:
You find a website (Website A) that offers good-quality products at low prices.
You take product images and descriptions from Website A and list them on your own online store for a higher price.
For example, let’s say you find Product M on Website A being sold for $10.
You then upload the same product to your store but list it for $15 (adding a $5 markup). You then promote it through marketing efforts.
When a customer buys from your store, the $15 payment goes into your account. You then purchase Product M from Website A for $10, but instead of entering your own shipping details, you provide the customer’s shipping information.
Website A will then ship the product directly to the customer, while you keep the $5 profit (minus any advertising costs).
Essentially, the customer pays you first, and then you use that money to buy and ship the product without dealing with inventory, storage, or shipping logistics. Your main upfront cost is marketing expenses to drive traffic to your store.
However, in recent years, many marketplaces have become stricter about dropshipping. Several platforms have started rejecting or closing accounts suspected of running dropshipping operations. Because of this, it may be better to focus on other income streams that offer more stability.
12. Trading
Trading is another online money-making opportunity, sometimes yielding substantial profits. One of the most famous figures in this field is billionaire Warren Buffett, one of the world’s most well-known investors. He bought his first stocks at age 11 and filed his first tax return at 13.
However, since trading involves risks and is not entirely safe, and because I have no personal experience in this field, I cannot provide an in-depth explanation.
13. Programming and Development
In the field of programming, you create software, games, applications, website templates, and more. Development, as the name suggests, involves enhancing and improving what has been programmed.
There are several ways to make money from programming and development, such as:
- Publishing your apps, games, or software on download stores (after integrating ad codes). For example, if you develop Android apps, you can publish them on the Google Play Store. The same applies to other platforms.
- Creating website templates (themes) and selling them.
- Teaching programming through online courses, YouTube tutorials, or writing blog articles (as mentioned in previous sections).
- Offering programming and development services on freelance platforms.
- Getting hired by a company as a full-time developer.
With multiple monetization methods available, it is possible to exceed $50 per day in this field if it aligns with your interests and skills.
14. Earning from Social Media
You can leverage your time on social media platforms to generate income instead of spending it without any financial gain.
Some of the ways to make money from social media include:
- Becoming a social media influencer.
- Sponsorships and paid posts Once you have a good following, brands may pay you to promote their products or services.
- Social media is an excellent platform for marketing products and services.
- Boosting your earnings from affiliate marketing, blogging (AdSense arbitrage), e-commerce, and other previously mentioned fields.
- Offering social media management as a service.
Of course, there are many other ways to monetize social media.
